Yelling at concrete - DEC 2025

Intro

I’m back. Well sort of. i decided to actually just take all of November and Dec of from making videos and somewhat take stock of the situation. I went to the UK to attend a funeral and see family and on my return made a decision to add chaos to my life in the form of a new pet. I’m sure i’ll do more of a deep dive on him another time but for now I want to make sure he’s happy and settled before I start making him earn his keep on instagram. So what is there to show this month?

Well frankly not much I spent the month focused on my calendar and getting that to print which I can confidently say is going to print this week and will be mailed out ASAP to the lovely people who ordered one. If you missed the pre-order there will be copied in a limited run but they will be shipped from the US so UK/EU folk apologies but them’s the breaks due to tariffs and EU laws killing small business.

So as I say not much to go on here as I didn’t make anything new and didn’t do any podcasts. So lets look to what’s coming instead.

Podcast

For DEC I have a couple of plans. One is to put out 1 maybe two videos. Get filming ready for 2026 and start reaching out to prospective guests of 2026.

I really enjoyed the guest this year and looking back think it was one of the most impactful for people finding the show. I managed to break 600 subs on You tube and all of that is down to people watching, recommending and being willing to come on.

I have a huge thank you to the people who do give me their time both listening and watching after 9 years or so of doing this there are often days where I wonder If i should keep going with it and then I sit down and have a chat with someone and boom i’m reignited into why I wanted to do it in the first place.

Ever had the thought of if i say I’ll do it I’ll feel worse if I don’t? Well I have a lot of ideas and as such I am at risk of that often. But there is one I’m determined to pick up again so perhaps need to manifest it into being. Birt part 3 will come in 2026. It’s the final part and I’ve been putting it off for one reason or another but I want to finish it not only for my sanity but because I owe you an ending.

I of course have intentions of other various illustrations through the year but mostly I’m aiming at completing Birt sometime in 2026.

But most of all I don’t know what next year brings and that’s sort of the fun of it. I really enjoyed having work in an exhibit in OCT and the reaction the calendar between friends has been wonderful to. I think If i have a focus overall in 2026 it’s taking what I’ve already made and seeing if I can get that work in front of the right people.
