Yelling at concrete - December

It’s December and you know what that means? Well in the Concrete world of Graham it means somewhat quiet? As any one who has seen the podcast knows “no episodes in December”. This allows me time to take stock. Focus on what I want to do in the new year and overalll keep myself from burning out! So don’t panic. I’ll be back in Jan with my usual noise but for dec you’ll just have to rewatch some of the classic episodes.

Some travel.

But what did I get up to in Nov you ask? Well…I travelled? Not that this is the place for holiday snaps but I thought i’d share at least a couple moments.

The podcast

This month on the cast I sat down with painter and friend Pinch! We’ve know each other a fair few years now and she likes to come on the show and chat about the various items of life but also we seem to always align on big career moments or changes in that time frame too! We had a good old natter and talked about the various notions of being a full time artist and what that means between finances and fidelity of the idea so /check it out!

And next we capped of the year with a brief look at opinion and interpretation and how you engage with something can really adjust your opinion on it. I do like to get a little reflective in the last episode so obviously this was also somewhat self serving but I think i made some alright points about the nature of criticism and the impact it can have on your own enjoyment!

As you will have seen the pre-order for the annual calendar is live but I am extending it one week into December due to shipping concerns and some other noise but what you need to know if you will have your calendars in DEC! so if you want one before i have to increase the postage for the UK and will only have limited stock get your order in!

So! if December if going to be quiet what’s even the point of opening that newsletter? Well…I wont lie it might be a short one but here is my intention. I’ll be sketching up some new ideas and after some recent inspiration trying to explore a few other thoughts ready for 2025!
