Yelling at concrete - Sept 2025
And here we go.
Intro
I’m not sure why but it often seems like the ebb and flow of my projects comes later in the year with the flow. Maybe something about going through the seasons brings something out of me. For instance right now I’m working at a minimum three projects. Some I have well documented some I really do not. But for now we shall consider this a novelty of fact rather than reality.

Wow August came out of no where. Something I have been trying to be more consistent with and I think the newsletter and Patreon have helped with, is the explaining of work. And documenting of things. Often it can feel like you’re very much just throwing things into the void when it comes to social media so having substantial updates to give and a record of it is kinda nice.
Calendar
As mentioned previous I’m working on the 2026 calendar right now and getting there gradually. This years idea is much harder than my usual and was why I took the risk of doing a remake last year so whilst you work through the usual cute things I’ve been digging in and trying to create something fresher. More to come on that likely via patreon later.
Scunny Zine fest 2025!
It happened! We did it. It often feels like I really didn’t do anything despite weeks of planning and creating art and videos to promote the event. But it happened. Through will and help of valued people in my life we were able once again to bring a independently funded and creative event to my home town. This feels ever more valuable when populism is on the rise in the UK. I say that because as much as I enjoy poking fun at the Reform crowd there is a very real reality of it ruining families and developing into something more serious.
Events like SZF I feel are important in bridging the gap between groups and reminding communities as much as we differ there is opportunity here to just be human and talk.
That said we came, we saw, we kicked ass. Thank you.

Anti-Run Club! - Charity Tee
Something you may or may not know about me is that I run. Yes I run…I know I don’t talk about it but when you picture a 6ft2 goth/metal yeti running maybe you picture me? Well something I did this year was help a friend of mine also run. We formed a small group at work focused on just getting people to run and helping reach that 5k goal so many people have. We bonded we lived and laughed and found consistency was key. So we kept the group going.
If you don’t know run clubs in NYC fall into a couple categories. Either they are a guise for dating, people looking to find fellow gym bodies they can impress with they tones and lululemon and the other is people who want you do feel bad and beat you in a foot race. Myself and my friends are neither of these. If anything we are simply people who dislike running but feel it’s a necessary evil to 8 hours at a desk.
As such I do what I usually do and had an idea. “The anti-run club” Nothing too original but focused on keeping each other motivated and having a space for mental health and chat involving exercise. It’s not exclusive nor really formal but for those who enjoy a run it’s been beneficial. I’ll never force someone to run they have to want to do it!
So of course i made a tee and it was all fun but I decided that tee could do more! So I put it up for sale and with the agreement of the group decided all profit from it would go to charity.
So if you want a fun tongue in cheek poke at exercise and support some great causes you can grab one form here. The charities chosen are the Anxiety and Depression association of America and The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
Colony Collapse - 2025
Technically I release this in September but I want to put other things in Septs letter so lets get this out.
Colony Collapse is a new sculpture by me. I released it today on Labour Day in the US and you can inspect how I made it at the video above and get a more detailed breakdown on my website of why I made it.
Podcast
This month seems to have flown by. At the start of it I was still dealing with my arm. Not 100% over that yet. But I made this little video to remind myself to slow down. Something to play back to myself and remind.
I talk about how we react to situations and how often we don’t get to learn at the rate we choose in life.
Next I sad down with Stacy! I travelled for this one. All the way to Mystic Connecticut and yes it is exactly where Mystic Pizza is based from the hit film. I didn’t have pizza but I did have an in-depth chat with Stacy on trauma and resiliency and what that means. She’s a counselor and had a range of experience in life and has become a friend on the side of the show which was a nice bonus so i suggest checking it out!
What’s next!
So you’ve seen the Vulture and Colony Collapse now. So what’s next? Well luckily for you I have this habit of creating work and then not releasing it. So there is plenty more to some in the coming weeks of the year. but for now all I can say is this. I’ll be continuing to post on my patreon sneak peeks. Instagram will continue to be updated and I’ll just keep trying to do my best to be the nuisance i am without getting arrested.
In the mean time I’m sat here on Labour day scanning negatives from 2024 so here is a photo I took in Amsterdam which I haven’t cropped yet.
