The June round up of Yelling at Concrete
Temperatures in New York hit 36 degrees this month. I may not make it through July or August.
Oh! it’s been a month. Ok so time for some updates.
I paused the stores. I had to and I hate it. It’s done. I did this for a couple reasons but the first is my health. I’m fine before anyone worries but about four weeks ago I lost sensation in my index finger on my right hand. Which as you can imagine is not great for drawing. I have actually yet to get full feeling back but am getting physio for it so decided to give it July to recover and see where I am. But I’m also looking at my way of selling things and wondering how I want to go about it. I want to adjust my focus and maybe jus create limited run items. Small batches like I do with the calendar. And with a focus on handmade!
So we’ll see, see what happens and how this plays out but for now that is the deal I got to behave or risk losing sensation completely I guess… Just imagine a grumpy Graham right now.

Scunny Zine fest!
Yes I’m still harping on about it August 3rd! If you’re able or know people in the area, tell all the people!
It’s taking quite the co-ordination to bring together and I’m really hoping it’s doing some good but we’ll never really know.
How to draw perspective.
So there we go, secret project revealed. I started work on this back in Dec I had the idea for a while to try and make something new. Something which bridged the gap between what YouTube expects but also made me feel satisfied as a creator. And so this was made and I’d hope to do some more but we’ll see! For now I just hope you enjoyed it.

We kicked off this month simply, can you get evicted from the internet? Pushed out and forced from the spaces you rely on? Well yes! It seems that’s the very thing which is happening so I sat down to talk it out.
And then I met a band! Well the secret it I know this band well. Three out of four of them are colleagues in my regular job. But what they also are are a cool indie band who make tunes which have feelings and such. So we caught up to talk music and being a new band and how that all works out.

I went to a drink and draw! I figured I should try and meet some folk in the city outside of work so myself and a couple friends headed out and I went to an event to draw and drink! As I have been avoiding drawing it was actually kind of nice to just take the edge of. Drawing has been my outlet for years and right now I just cant. But in a relaxed setting with no pressures I got to remind myself what I do.
What’s next?
So, I’m not making what can you expect in July? I’m not sure. Photography? Film? Some work outside? Mainly I’m focused on fixing my fingers right now so we’ll see how this plays out. For now stay tuned.
